Princess Beatrice, 34, is likely to inherit many royal treasures as she is the niece of King Charles and ninth in line to the throne.

However, very few of these jewels are likely to be ears as the Princess of York’s ears remain unpierced.

At the Coronation of King Charles on May 6, Beatrice stepped out wearing pink sapphire, ruballite earrings and a pink opal hoop in 18-carat rose gold.

These earrings cost a whopping £37,000 – but the Princess probably paid even more to have the jewels modified into clip-on earrings.

Their description says: “The pink Blaze hoop earrings introduce a new approach to the Garrard icon.

“Clusters of bright pink stones follow the oval silhouette, revealing an open space within, perfectly accentuating the eclectic mix of different cuts and shapes of sapphires, rubellites and pink opals.

“A bold and fearless look full of confidence, purpose and beauty.

“The brilliant combinations of faceted stones and cabochons become a riot of color, masterfully inverting Garrard’s classic cluster motif.”

Beatrice doesn’t really have her ears pierced and prefers clip-on earrings when she wants to add some extra sparkle to her ensembles.

For example, at the Royal Windsor Horse Show in 2022 she wore Sphinx earrings by Jennifer Gibson Jewellery, which are already a staple.

The “Vintage Feather Tabs” are crafted from silver-tone metal to create a dramatic feather-inspired design.

The brand says: “Clips are very popular especially if the earrings have weight. They sit much better.”

This time, Beatrice paired her earrings with a stunning floral dress from The Vampire’s Wife.

On the other hand, her younger sister, Princess Eugenie, has her ears pierced so that she can wear many royal jewels.

For example, at her wedding in 2018, her now-husband Jack Brooksbank bought the Princess a pair of emerald and diamond earrings that perfectly matched the emeralds in her tiara.

Using a 1.5 carat cabochon green emerald and seven brilliant round diamonds, the glamorous drop-style earrings were worth around £7,000, according to jewelery expert Steven Stone.

As Princess Beatrice does not have her ears pierced, she did not wear any earrings during her 2020 wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
