Pierre Gasly branded Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz ‘extremely dangerous’ for the pair after both came close to qualifying – prompting the Alpine driver to call for an investigation.
Gasly was on a flying lap during qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix when he nearly hit the Ferrari on the final corner and was forced to pull out of his lap attempt.
Gasly was eliminated from qualifying in Q1 and will start 15th on the grid, while Sainz starts 11th.
“I think it’s completely unacceptable to drive like Carlos did, it’s as simple as that,” Gasly said. Autosport. “At 300, he’s sitting at 30kph in the last chicane focusing on his own lap.
