The Manchester United takeover saga continues to rumble on as the Glazers are yet to decide on a preferred bidder between Sheikh Jassim of Qatar or Sir Jim Ratcliffe. It is thought that people inside and outside the club are becoming frustrated with the current owners because a lack of progress is not helping the club, as it is hoped that progress could be made in the near future.

United’s transfer plans are being hampered by the abstention from the sale as Erik ten Hag is forced to work with a smaller budget compared to if the Qatari-backed bid is chosen ahead of the INEOS chief because they are committed to the debt of the to destroy a club, which may exist. add up to £50 million to the transfer budget.

However, deadlines have come and gone and the Glazers’ indecisiveness has ensured the Red Devils are likely to miss out on deals for Harry Kane and Declan Rice – although plans to bring Mason Mount to Old Trafford from Chelsea are progressing.

Clarity is needed from the top of the club but the Glazer family remain firm in their stance of not communicating with supporters throughout the process, as they continue to mount bids following a £6billion bid to sell United.
