A Place in the Sun star Jonnie Irwin hit the red carpet at the Television and Radio Industries Club Awards today, joined by Jules Hudson, Sonali Shah and Nicki Chapman.

The former Channel 4 presenter made a rare appearance at the prestigious event, which generates goodwill in the television and radio industries.

Last year, Jonnie shared the devastating news that he had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and told he only had a few months to live.

Despite his illness, the 49-year-old is very active on social media to keep up with his fans and continues to make public appearances.

Today, Jonnie smiled as his friends and fellow presenters joined him at the ceremony.

The star wore an open, forest green shirt layered over a dark shirt, cardigan and T-shirt with matching dark loose fitting trousers.

He also accessorized with a stylish, charcoal colored bowler hat.

Nicki looked stunning next to the Escape to the Country star, wearing a white and gold silk dress with a delicate floral print.

Meanwhile, Jules opted for an open tan blazer over a light pink shirt, which he paired with some blue jeans.

Sonali looked stunning in a pretty white summer dress, featuring spaghetti straps and floral embellishments.

Later, the group of famous friends could be seen posing for pictures inside the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

Jonnie revealed that he has terminal lung cancer on November 13, 2022, after being diagnosed back in 2020.

The property expert is best known for presenting Channel 4’s A Place in the Sun from 2004 to 2022, as well as the BBC’s Escape to the Country.

He married his wife Jessica Holmes in September 2016 and together they have three sons: Rex (born 2018) and twins Rafa and Cormac (born 2020).
