Jenny Ryan has been cast as the Wicked Queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, but some of her The Chase co-stars are already making “excuses” not to watch her pantomime.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk Regarding her upcoming role in the Darlington Hippodrome production, The Vixen star revealed that despite their close relationship, her fellow Chasers may not be in the audience this season.

Luckily, Jenny, 41, explained that the ITV stars had real reasons for not being able to support her new career move.

While she expects some of her colleagues to turn up, others are already booked to take on their own pantomime roles this Christmas.

Jenny said: “I think a few of my colleagues are already doing Panto themselves, so they have an excuse.

“I’ll see them up here in Darlington and let them see, I’ll get their judgment on how scary I am.

“I think most of them are a bit scarier than me anyway!

“That would be a good reflection on my acting skills,” said the quiz.

Announcing who she thinks is her scariest co-star, Jenny immediately announced that the title should go to 65-year-old Anne Hegerty.

“Oh, Anne!” Jenny exclaimed, before adding: “She has such a calm face, I call it, that would scare anyone, and she also likes to be a gentleman in Panto.

“So yeah, I think she’s the scariest, you wouldn’t want to come up against her if you wanted to rescue your fairy princess!”

Even if her Darlington co-stars won’t be seen in the audience, fans of The Chase will be able to recognize certain aspects of Jenny’s new character, as she channels The Vixen – her persona from the ITV game show.

Jenny said: “I think playing the villain is always great fun.

“You have a license to ramp everything up, go over the top, so that’s really what I have to put my head in, that space.

“But there’s got to be a little bit of The Vixen in there, she’s the fierce, scary one, so she might have a bit of input in how we play the Wicked Queen.

“She’ll definitely help, but I’m playing a royal so there’s going to be more of a royal imperiousness about the character I’m playing.”
