Novak Djokovic has revealed that he has spoken to ATP chiefs following complaints from some players about the different tennis balls on tour.
The likes of Stan Wawrinka and Ben Shelton are among those who are not happy with changing the balls every week, claiming that they cause injuries.
“Actually I just had the conversation with Andrea Gaudenzi, the ATP president, and Massimo [Calvelli]the CEO,” Djokovic said.
“I haven’t been on the tour for a while, so I haven’t had a chance to talk to them.
“Obviously I’ve seen the comments that more and more players have been making about the balls used in various tournaments.
“Yes, this inconsistency is an issue, and that’s what we complain about most of the players, myself included.”
