Uorfi Javed gets death threats for recreating Chhote Pandit`s look
Orfi Javed, an actress and reality star, is known to be in the news for her unique fashion sense. The actress continues to surprise people with her fashion choices, which are often called ‘heavy and weird’ by some and ‘creative’ by others. Although her outfits have sparked controversy in the past, this time the actress reveals that she has been receiving death threats. For her latest look, before Halloween, Uorfi recreated the look of Chhote Pandit from the movie `Bhool Bhulaiyaa`.
Uorfi contacted X on social media to say she was receiving death threats for her appearance. She shared screenshots of netizens demanding that she take down the picture of her dressed as Chhote Pandit or else face consequences. Javed recreated the look made popular by the actor Rajpal Yadav in the 2007 film `Bhool Bhulaiyaa`. Just like the character, she painted her face red and wore an orange dhoti and a red top. She placed a yellow garland around her neck and 2 incense sticks on her ears to complete the look.
Sharing her and Rajpal Yadav’s look along with screenshots of the death threat, Uorfi wrote, “I am shocked and horrified by this country, I am getting death threats while recreating a character from a film and as that character is not got no support :/”.

In one of the screenshots, she received an email from a man named Nikhil Goswami demanding she delete the video or he will kill her. Another man named Rupesh Kumar asks her how she is defaming the Hindu religion. “Live your life, I will shoot you at the intersection,” he wrote in the post.
Uorfi Javed is known for participating in TV reality shows like Bigg Boss OTT and MTVSplitsvillaX4. She often makes headlines for her bold clothing choices and unfiltered remarks. In a recent interaction with BBC World, Uorfi Javed shared how people don’t respect her and hence want to refrain from working with her. “I’ve become popular? Yes. Heroes? Yes. Work? People don’t respect me. People don’t want to work with me. I scream for attention. I want attention so I dress like that.”
When asked if trolls affect her, she said, “I’m human and I get upset. But then I get upset for 5-10 minutes and then I tell myself they’re probably really ugly . too beautiful”.
