Next year Deadpool 3 will introduce Ryan Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine to the MCU.
Little was previously known about the upcoming sequel but it’s clear that there will be some multifaceted shenanigans.
Previous Marvel rumors suggested a connection to the Time Variance Authority (TVA) in Loki and now two independent leaks seem to confirm this.
Trusty scooper MyTimeToShineHello tweeted: “Deadpool 3 is about TVA removing the PRIME versions of each hero to create a multifaceted army to fight the Kangs.
“And they picked Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine to recruit but he’s not quite on board. That’s what the film is about.”
The Council of Kangs was featured in the end credits scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and as a group is the latest nemesis of the Avengers after Thanos.
Another reliable scooper CanWeGetSomeToast tweeted: “To be clear, DEADPOOL 3 is still very much a Deadpool movie. His stories with Cable’s time machine caught the attention of the TVA, and they became prisoners.
“When Deadpool learns about the TVA’s plan for a multi-faceted army, it inspires him to escape and try to convince Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine to join him.”
Fans will remember in Deadpool 2 that Wade and Cable bonded over time and thus attracted the attention of the TVA in the upcoming film.
They’re from the Fox universe, which looks like it’s about to crash into the MCU, just like Sony did in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The big rumor is that Deadpool 3 is all before 2027 Avengers: Secret Wars, the next film on the level of Endgame which is expected to have superheroes from the MCU universe, Fox and Sony working together.
