Experts are revealing how households can cut their annual energy bill in half thanks to eight simple home improvements.

Energy regulator Ofgem has announced a reduction in the energy price cap this winter but one in three households will still be paying more towards their gas and electricity costs.

Despite the drop in the price per unit of energy, the daily fixed charge has increased, and the Government is not continuing its cost of living support from last year.

These include switching to LED bulbs, adding insulation, and sealing windows and doors from drafts.
