After Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, all eyes are on Dunki. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film is SRK’s first collaboration with both the director and Taapsee Pannu. Ahead of its release, social media was abuzz with speculations regarding the film’s teaser, trailer, cast, plot and more. If reports are to be believed, the makers are all set to release the teaser of Dunki on SRK’s birthday, November 2.
A report in Hindustantimes said that the much awaited Dunki teaser will be released on November 2 at 11 am. It will give a glimpse of the first look of Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu in the film. Other reports said that the film also stars Dia Mirza, Parikshit Sahni, Boman Irani, Dharmendra, and Satish Shah in pivotal roles and Kajol and Vicky Kaushal in cameo roles.
Earlier, rumors were rife that Dunki would have an OTT release, however, the makers denied it and confirmed that the film will hit the silver screen in December this year.
Rajkumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan collaborations
For those who were sneered at entertainment pages during the period, Rajkumar Hirani wanted to work with Shah Rukh Khan in some films. Reports said that SRK was the filmmaker’s first choice for Munna Bhai MBBS, however, the star’s health issues did not allow that to happen. Later, Hirani offered 3 Idiots to SRK but he turned down the film. Starring Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor, and Boman Irani, 3 Idiots was one of the biggest hits of all time.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan’s last film Jawan, in collaboration with Atlee, broke many records at the box office. The film marked King Khan’s first collaboration with the Tamil director and Nayanthara.
