Kaleb Cooper addresses ‘unusual’ decision which garnered attention on the farm | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV
Kaleb Cooper has opened up about his unusual decision to get permission for Clarkson’s Farm.
The 25-year-old appeared on Claudia Winkleman’s podcast with stand-up host Alex Jones and soon became the talk of his love of having different hairstyles.
The farmer said he was 20 when he started filming the Amazon Prime show, before Alex, 46, interrupted by saying: “With all your different hairstyles.”
Kaleb replied: “I had to stop the perm, I’m gone straight now.”
Alex admitted that she thought Kaleb’s decision to have a perm was a “funny choice”.
The TV personality said: “I loved the perm, I love the perm! Curly hair, I mean I could talk about hair all day.”
The One Show host joked: “A farmer with a perm in the Cotswolds.”
Kaleb rose to fame on the hit series Clarkson’s Farm which premiered in June 2021 on the Amazon streaming platform.
The show follows Jeremy Clarkson’s efforts to run the 1,000 acre farm Diddly Squat in the Cotswolds.
As well as Kaleb and Jeremy, 63, the former Top Gear host is joined by his girlfriend Lisa Hogan who helps him on the farm and runs the farm shop.
The show was a huge success, and the second series became the most watched original series on Amazon in the UK in 2023.
Kaleb has previously opened up about his equation with Jeremy, and tensions were running high at times as they both worked on the farm in Chipping Norton.
The dad-of-two admitted the two were joking and won’t speak to each other for a few days so they can rest.
He told the Daily Mail: “We argue and then we don’t talk for two days, but after that it’s okay.”
Kaleb said that neither of them offends the other and that they hold no grudge, and both are able to move on.
The farm manager and Jeremy are very good friends outside of the show, spending time together at the pub and at concerts.
Season two of the popular series aired in February and the third season is expected to be streamed in 2024.
