He also shared a video on his social media in which Ravindra’s grandmother `nazar utarna`(`look away’ ritual) he said. The video has collected more than 680k views so far.
Ravindra has shone amid New Zealand’s scorching start to their ICC World Cup 2023 campaign. Of course, I’ve heard a lot of stories and seen a lot of footage. I think the influence of my parents and my father, sort of, and the old-school Indian cricketers were pretty cool. Of course, I idolized Sachin Tendulkar. I think a lot of people did. I think the way he batted, his technique was beautiful to watch. I think being lefty, there are guys you look up to, I love [Brian] Lara, I love [Kumar] Sangakkara, just the usual gun hands, but Tendulkar was definitely the idol,” Ravindra, 23, said during a post-match press conference.
