Shane MacGowan and his wife Victoria Mary Clarke shared a tender kiss in a new photo this morning.

The Pogues star’s husband took to Instagram to give his 27,000 followers a touching update.

She admitted that “love can be painful too” as she revealed what the two are going through.

It comes after it was reported that the 65-year-old singer was hospitalized in June after being diagnosed with viral encephalitis.

According to the NHS, it is a rare but serious condition where the brain becomes inflamed.

Now, it appears that Shane has remained in hospital ever since with Victoria revealing that she has “lost a terrible fear”.

She wrote alongside her upload: “Love is the most beautiful and powerful thing we can experience as humans but love can also be painful, especially if you fear losing someone or something else that you love.

“The really big challenge we all face is to go beyond what our minds think are the limits of love and what love really is.”

She continued: “Often what we call love can be more accurately described as attachment or desire or need or longing or closeness or attachment.

“And these are all completely valuable and human and we must acknowledge and appreciate and accept every part of our experience.”

Victoria then said: “But sometimes when you love very deeply, you will face the fear of loss which feels so great and so devastating that you don’t know how you will survive them and you cannot live imagine without this person. love you.

“It is in these moments when you are staring into the abyss that you have the opportunity to expand your consciousness beyond the limits of your mind.

“You have an opportunity to discover more about who you really are and more about who your soul really is and more about the connection you have with this person you love.”
