The Indian cricket team will go into action in their most important match of the last few years in the final of the Cricket World Cup in Ahmedabad on Sunday. The Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team will face the five-time champions in their bid for a third ODI World Cup title. Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian cricket team to victory in the title clash, he will become the third Indian skipper to win the ODI Cricket World Cup after Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni. India have been overwhelmed at the Cricket World Cup so far with a 10-match winning streak.
Although the Indian cricket team’s display on the field was smooth, there are a few conspiracy theories about their results. Ahead of the India vs New Zealand Cricket World Cup semi-final there were allegations of field swapping. Earlier, a former Pakistan player had alleged that ‘different balls’ were going for India. Apart from that, former Pakistan cricketer Sikandar Bakht said that Rohit Sharma was deliberately throwing the coin far to take advantage of it.
During an appearance on Geo News, Bakht claimed that Indian captain Rohit Sharma was deliberately throwing the coin far to win the toss.
“Shararat kar sakta hoon? Mai ek sawal kar raha hoon agar hum dikha sake toss ke waqt. Rohit Sharma jab toss karte hai vo dur fenkte hai aur dusra captain jaa ke kabhi nahi dekhta ki vo sahi usne call kiya (Can I allow At the time of the toss, Rohit Sharma throws the coin far from the range of any opposition captain. So, the opposition captain cannot go and cross-check the call),” Bakht was heard saying on air.
Former India star Wasim Jaffer has returned to the ‘baseless theorist’ in his humorous style. He posted a video of a player tossing the coin far away while throwing on his ‘X’ account, along with the captain. “@ImRo45 hopes to do this at the toss tomorrow just to make fun of the baseless theories #INDvAUS #CWC2023Final”

Earlier, former Pakistan captain and legendary pacer Wasim Akram put an end to the controversy, slamming Bakht for making ‘shameful’ claims.
“Who decides where the medal should land? The math is just for sponsorship! I feel ashamed. I can’t even… I don’t even want to comment on it,” said a fuming Akram on A Sports.
