F&O Ban List: India Cements, MCX, ZEEL, 5 others placed under futures & options ban for Nov 20

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has placed a total of eight stocks under the trading ban on Monday, November 20, 2023 under the futures and options (F&O) segment. The securities were banned under the F&O segment as it exceeded 95 per cent of the market wide position limit (MWPL), according to the NSE. However, the stock will be available for trading on the money market.

Chambal Fertilizers and Chemicals, Delta Corp, Hindustan Copper, India Cements, Manappuram Finance, MCX, RBL Bank, and ZEEL are the eight stocks that are part of the stock exchange’s F&O ban list for November 20.

The NSE updates the list of securities in the F&O ban on trading on a daily basis.

The derivative contracts in the listed securities have breached 95 per cent of the market-wide position limit and are currently placed in the ban period at the stock exchange, NSE said.

“It is hereby notified that all clients/members shall trade in derivative contracts of that security only to reduce their positions through offsetting positions. Any increase in open positions will be subject to appropriate punitive and disciplinary action,” NSE said.

No fresh positions are allowed for any of the M&O contracts in the particular stock when they are placed under the M&O ban period at the stock exchanges.
