Veteran Bollywood actor Govinda has finally roped in director David Dhawan. After working in several super hit films like Hero No. 1, Coolie No. 1, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, etc, the actor and the director have split for several years. The two reunited recently at producer Ramesh Turani’s Diwali bash. The appearance indicated that they have met. Soon Govinda stamped the rumor by sharing a photo with David and revealed that they have moved on. The actor has now confirmed that the duo has resolved their issues.
Govinda and David Dhawan Patch-Up
Talking to Bombay Times, Govinda said that he is glad that people still feel that they should work together. “Yeh unka pyaar hai. Our patch-up had already happened. This was our second meeting. It was a Diwali bash where we ate good food and had a great time,” said Govinda. The actor also said that they do not believe in the past to guarantee. In addition, film talk was not a priority for them, as they only talked about happy memories and there were plenty of those.
Govinda shared a photo with David and said, “80s aur 90s mein meri do biwiyaan thi. However and David! .” Varun Dhawan and several other actors had mentioned a heart emoji in the comments section.

What was the reason for the Govinda-David Dhawan fallout?
In 2019, Govinda revealed that after he retired from politics, he told his secretary to keep the speaker phone on, so he could listen to what David Dhawan was saying. He heard David say that Govinda was questioning a lot. “He was telling my secretary, I don’t want to work with Govinda anymore. Tell him to do some small roles,” said the actor.
This surprised the actor and he decided not to work with Dhawan. After 4-5 months, he called him again to see if he would make a guest appearance for Govinda in his film. “He didn’t call me back then. I am revealing this publicly after so many years. I don’t think he is the same David Dhawan I knew,” Govinda added.
